Apologies if this question has been answered elsewhere, but I couldn't find it.

I'm just starting out with Beersmith, and among other things, I intend to use it as a record keeping tool. However, I would like to take a 5 gallon batch, split it equally into 2 carboys, and ferment each with different yeast strains to see the flavor effects. Is it possible to do this in Beersmith? I didn't want to adjust the batch size in beersmith because I was afraid that would incorrectly alter utilization rates, efficicency, etc.

Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Do two seperate batches at 2.5 gallons each, split the grain bill, hops bill into two equal halves and input as ingredients. Adjust yeast type as necessary. Use the same mashing profile for both, hop times same etc.... and use the calendar function to keep records.

Cheers
