Quick question for everyone:

Is there an upper end on the desired temperature of a room where carbonation of bottled beer will take place?

I shouldn't have a problem in WI this time of year, but it will be a while before A/C season starts and the spare bedroom it is in can get warm during the afternoon/evening hours, maybe has high as upper 70s around 80. This will happen more frequently as temperatures outside get into the 70s more often and eventually 80s.

From what I understand, you want to keep temperatures below mid 70s and definetly 80s throughout the brewing process.

On that note, my beers are in a closet that will soon get over 80 degrees, and some were in that same closet for the end of the summer last year. I havent yet tasted any ill effects from the heat, but I dont claim to have the most sensitive sense of taste.

In short, I dont think that it is optimal to store your beer at that temperature, but I dont think it is the end of the world.
