Hello, i am in the process of making this beer, i was just taking my starting sg and it's so low 1.020.

I've use the can of Cooper's english bitter and added 500g of light dry malt. with all the other coopers i did before i normally always end up with around 1.045~1.050.

Should i boost with simple syrup? i tasted and it taste good but definitly not sweet.

Let It cool to pitching temperature and it should be right. Remember to feed the SG into a correction calculator so you can get a more accurate reading if you're not at whatever the temp the hydrometer is calibrated at.

That beer should be near the mid 1.030's. Not as high as the other Coopers kits as it's more to style with the English Standard Bitter.
