Can't tighten valve any tighter?

I am doing my HLT and realized I have too much room on my thread. I have the coupler,washer then oring on inside but, wanted just my valve on outside. But, I have room left after I tighten it all the way. Should I add another washer on outside to make up for the room?

Yep. Depending on your specific hardware, building up the gap with washers isn't out of the ordinary.
 
But, more importantly..Will it look ok??hahaha Thanks, just needed to hear it should work from a fellow homebrewer.
