I am brewing 10 gal. Wit SG: 1.047. I have a 2L Flask with a DIY stir plate that I use for 5 gal. batches, but LHBS only had one flask of WLP400. So I was thinking of growing my yeast of over several days to get enough yeast. What is my best option?

1. Make 1L starter and put on stir plate for 24-36 hours. Place in fridge for 24 hours. Decant. Make another 1L wort add to flask and place of stir plate for 24-36 hours. Place in fridge for 24 hours. Decant. Split between fermenters.

2. Use flask and one growler. Make 2L of starter. Split wort between flask and growler and split vial into each. Place flask on stir plate and shake growler every time I go by for 24-36 hours. Place in fridge 24 hours. Decant. Pitch into 2 fermenters.
