Headed to a concert in about 6 weeks and I need to brew some show beer. I like to keep things simple and this is the recipe draft. Any thoughts?

1 lbs. American Caramel 40°L (30 minute steep)
8 lbs. Dry Light Extract info
1 oz. Chinook (Pellets, 13.00 %AA) boiled 60 min. info
2 oz. Centennial (Whole, 10.00 %AA) boiled 20 min. info
2 oz. Centennial (Whole, 10.00 %AA) boiled 5 min. info
Yeast : Fermentis US-05 Safale US-05 info

2.5 Gallon boil
5 Gallon batch

Well, using a late addition with the DME you'll end up with about 98 ibu's and 6.9% abv. Pretty hoppy, but within the range of an Imperial IPA. (all calculated with BrewTarget)

If you like hoppy brews this sound pretty good. I'm with you, KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid). Looks like a nice recipe for a hoppy brew that'll easy to put together. Drink up and have fun at that concert :rockin:

I'm definitely a hop head so 98 sounds pretty good IMO. I ran this through beer tools and came up w/ similar numbers so this seems like the route to go. Thanks for the input. Being a live music junkie, having fun will be no problem. :rockin:

Thanks again,
