Doing a Bell's Oberon clone from Austin Homebrew today. Didn't plan ahead and make a starter w/ the White Labs American Hefeweizen Ale 320 (#00013). I'm thinking that I would be better off using some dry Windsor yeast.

Agree? AHS saws it's "pitchable" but you'all are teaching otherwise.

It is 2-row & white wheat w/saaz for bittering and aroma.

The few straight liquid yeast pitches I have done produced ok beer, not great and I'd rather do a dry yeast than a non starter under-pitched liquid. I mostly use dry now for the exact reason of not being prepared for a spur of the moment brew day event, I don't usually plan far enough in advance to get a starter prepared.
