It's day 8 of my dunkel fermentation, starting gravity was 1.064, kit states a final gravity of 1.012 (but this is with a sg of 1.055, I added some of the AHS sugar mixture to boost the gravity). The gravity reads 1.014, no airlock activity (I know that means nothing, but still). The only thing is...there's still a thick layer of white foam on the top. Now, I've never seen what fermenting beer looks like since I leave my primary usually until it HAS stopped fermenting. Is the beer still fermenting? Is it an infection? I can't tell, I tried a sample and...it tastes like a flat dunkel. Maybe a little off, but nothing that makes me want to spit it out in disgust.
