I have a 3 gallon keg that I want to use as a portable and have a portable co2 mini pump. Would there be any problems with installing a stainless valve stem (or a pressure gauge for that matter) on the keg to monitor the dispensing pressure of the keg while using a mini pump? Anyone done anything like this?
 
I have a black liquid QD with a pressure gauge attached to it that I put on the "out" side of a corny when I am pressure testing kegs. That way I can use a gray gas QD attached to my air compressor instead of wasting CO2. Works great!

Basically it is a Black QD connected to a piece of gas tubing connected to a flared fitting connected to the pressure gauge.
