I have a few packs of Coopers yeast without labels. I want to put them to use but I don't know what they are. They do have numbers on them:
coopers 26707
coopers 25307 w

Anyone have a resource to find this out. I tried googling them but nuin.

I know the 'w' means wheat. This gives some info:

From the end of the thread:

"The code on the yeast sachet is a Julian Date, representing the date that the yeast was packaged rather than a “Use By” or “Best Before” date. e.g. a sachet with 25007 was packaged on the 7th of September, which is the 250th day of 2007. While the can of home brew containing this yeast sachet may have been produced on Thursday the 13th of September 2007, carrying a Best Before date of 13/09/09."

IIRC, the ONLY place I have ever seen numbers on Coopers yeast was either in Palmers 1st Ed or in The Joy of Homebrewing.
