anyone have the forumla to get the strike water temperature? i know its around 163-168 most of the time. i dont have beersmith or any programs you have to pay for

I just started paying attention after BeerSmith kept giving me incorrect temps for strike water. Now I know it's 15 degrees above my rest temp. I hit it every time. Know your system.

Here is what I use

=((((lbsGrain*0.05)+StrikeVolume)*MashTemp)-(lbsGrain*0.05)*AmbientTemp)/StrikeVolume

Thats an excel equation so * is times and / is divide
