2009 Crush (150 gallons) in Vermont

Chapin Orchards in Essex, VT is having their annual "crush" on Oct 24th. An antique cider press is used to press 150 gallons of cider for homebrewers to do with as they wish. Limited to first 150 gallon sign ups, link is here:

Nice - that looks like an outstanding apple mix. I wish I lived close enough to get in on it. Did you get any of the previous year's batches? The ad doesnt say how much they are charging. Any idea how much for 5-10 gal?

I have heard a lot of good things about Northern Spys. I'm hoping to get some of those in bushels for a cider pressing this weekend. They are hard to grow around this far South but I understand it was a decent crop for them this year. I hope so.

I'll be calling tomorrow to get on the list for 5 gallons though. Not sure what I'll do with it, but have a month to figure it out.
