Whole House Water Filter - What to do when not Brewing?

I recently put together something like the following:

My question ... what do I do with it between brew sessions? Should I drain the water? Dry the filter out? Just leave it?

if you are not using it for several months, you can take the filter out and wrap it in plastic wrap and keep it in the refridgerator, just to prevent bacterial growth. otherwise just drain it until water stops pouring out and leave it till next time.

if you have a clear housing, store it somewhere dark.
