I decided to calculate my efficiency the long way, actually looking up each and every extract efficiency and moisture number from each maltster of each grain I used yesterday, and it took almost an hour just to find the numbers. Cargill's are hidden pretty well, and I had to find Weyermann's through a distributor.

So, here's a list of the ones I used, plus some others I found...turns out Cargill/Dingemans/Gambrinus are all the same company!

Cargill: http://www.specialtymalts.com/cargill_malt/malt_analysis.html

Dingemans: http://www.specialtymalts.com/dingemans/malt_analysis.html

Gambrinus: http://www.specialtymalts.com/gambrinus/malt_analysis.html

Briess: http://www.brewingwithbriess.com/Products/Default.htm

Weyermann: http://www.brewerssupplygroup.com/Weyerman.html

Maybe the mods would like to sticky this information? For us crazy people who like to doing brewing math during their free time Sunday morning?

Well, I hate to be the one to break it to you, but even though they post the average, each "batch" is a bit different and they have a new malt analysis sheet with every sack you buy. You can get one from the retailer. They aren't big changes, but if you're going to do it the long way, you might has well have the correct info!

Oh ok. I don't actually buy my grain, my employer is kind enough to let me skim their stock, but I'm sure we get analysis sheets with every order.
