What do folks use for wort and starter aeration?

More specifically, if you that use pumps and airstones, do you use in-line sub-micron filters?

How long do you aerate the wort?

How long do you aerate the starters?

Thanks!

usually use a ss airstone with a HEPA filter in line with an air pump. I have been known to hook it to my Medical O2 tank from my squad truck as well, but the air pump works fine.

I start aerating as I begin pumping the wort through the chiller up to the conical, and continue until its full (around 20 minutes or so).

That one doesn't have the wand - which is REALLY nice to have. William's raised the price a little while back, but I still think it's a pretty good deal.

True, but a piece of an old racking cane will do the job. I don't recommend using one of these without a cane. The hose will curl up and float on top and is generally a royal PIA without a cane.
