What are some TTB/ATF approved alcohol measuring instruments? Price points? Looking for something close to a digital Alla Ebulliometer, but TTB/ATF approved.

TTB will accept readings made with Anton Paar's digital density meters. It's what they have in their own lab. You don't have to do this for beer at all but proofing of spirits is a different matter. They will also accept readings made with a set of approved Tralle hydrometers using an approved distillation procedure (where one is required).

Price Point: The DMA 5000 is about $23 K. The Alcolyzer add-on is about the same.

hi.. keep in mind.. the Density meters are just that. even if they are approved by TTB, they only measure density.. so if sugar is introduced.. the guessing game begins.. Meaning you will lose any accuracy.. With the low tolerance set be TTB ±.2 ABV it is very hard to achieve with basic hydrometer.. GS is the only accurate method (if other dissolved solids exist EX: sugar)

Sorry, what is GS?
