heya folks,

Not sure if right forum but here goes. I'm a local truck driver that hauls bulk food products including malt! My question is the type of malt and wht i can use it for. I know its 2 row from either brewers supply group or cargill, depending on the railcar we load from. So grabbing a 5lb bucket fullis no problem lol. I'm guessing its just a 'generic' base malt, but any info is greatly appreciated!

If you know its 2-row get as much as you can and brew your A$$ off.
Are you asking if we can tell if its malted or not?
BSG has several kinds of base malt that they sell as does Cargill.

I believe its malted, we just deliver to breweries silos and they pop it right in to brewery to start process. Im bout an hours south of Sac Jaybird
