How many days in advance to make a yeast starter from harvested yeast?

How many days in advance do people make their yeast starter from harvested yeast?
 
normally two if i am only doing one step. I do a day and a half of fermentation, overnight crash cool, decant brew morning and allow to warm for 6 hours. I forgot to make my starter yesterday though, so this time it is going to be overnight.
