i was wondering if there was any way to succsefully rig up a hopback if i don't use a counterflow chiller. i love my immersion chiller, but also love the idea of using a hopback to filter and flavor the wort. anybody ever played around with this?
 
It doesn't help filter, but I have steeped additional hops in a French Press and added the "tea" directly to the fermenter with great results. My beer comes out very clear so I don't concern myself with the filtering. Also, as I mentioned today in another thread, adding hops once your wort starts cooling, 190ish adds those hop smacking flavors when using an IC.
