I have a question, When you guys are using the keggles from old kegs how much is the boiling capacity? I just made a 17 gallon fermenter out of an eyewash station and would like to ferment a 15 gallon batch. Problem is I dont want to boil three 5 gallon batches. I think I can get a keg or kegs from my daughters mom. Can I boil a 15 gallon batch, in one, I can always top off with SOME fresh sterile water if I have to.

Thanks Guiys for all the info.

I have 15 gallons bottled

one more week til I get to crack the Morgan's Midnight Porter

My keg has a total capacity of 15.5 gallons. you may if you watch it very closely and be on the throttle all the time be able to get away with boiling 15 but I would'nt do it!!!
