I am going to be brewing my first all grain batch in my three tiered system. My question is after pulling off the first runnings; how do you get them back into the mash kettle without destroying the grain bed, or is it ok to stir before sparging. I have heard and read conflicting information about stirring before sparging.

Any advice? Thank you.
