So I dumped 3/4 cup dry LME straight into my bottling bucket about a month ago, I'd posted on the forum to see if I was in deep trouble. Didn't seem to be a consensus as to what exactly would happen.
It turned out fine, carbonation was great, beer was great, and no bombs of course (my biggest concern due to one poster). Actually carbonated very quickly (about a week) and had a nice white head.
I don't think I'd ever try it again, I had to sift out the clumps and stir to the point I was worried about oxidation. Just thought I share my findings though so If someone else pull a knuckle head move like I did you can tell them it will be o.k.
