I'm new (this will be #2) and trying to figure out a good starting point for a Belgian Christmas Ale. I've always liked Delirium Noel (although I'm not sure it's that Christmas-y) so I'd like to make something in that range - I don't want to make a super dark 'sipping beer.'
Does anyone have suggestions for a medium-bodied Belgian ale that would be good with some spice additions? I've never brewed a Belgian and I'm nervous that the fruitiness of the yeast could clash with nutmeg, etc. if I'm not careful.
Thanks.
