Pale ale (2 row/40l crystal grain) 3 weeks primary/3 days on nectarines/dry hop in the corny secondary. 12 psi for about 9 days. Taste the carb but absolutely no head on the pour!! Any suggestions? No leaks checked!! Is what it is? For the wife hence the generic grain bill.

Assuming your carbonation rig is working properly, 9 days is too short to expect a keg to be nicely carbonated. I find it takes at least two weeks carbing at serving temperature to get the keg to the acceptable level, and another week to be perfect.

Patience, young brewmaster...

Cheers! ;)

Thanks yeah can't rush just figured I get some retention by now. Fruit might be killing the head retention too. Next time will add a dash of wheat.

Cheers!

That is exactly the pressure I set my House pale ale to, and yes it does take 14-15 days to be perfect.
