I was browsing through Moylan's website and was checking out the specs on their Hopsickle DIPA. Noticed they list acid malt in their grain bill. I've never seen acid malt in an IPA recipe before. What do you think think its purpose is? Do you suppose they use it to accentuate dryness? Hops?

It's probably there to correct the mash pH. No way you'd be able to taste a few percent acid malt in Hopsickle, possibly the most unsubtle beer ever.:p

I don't expect to taste the acid malt; just didn't know if it might have been used to increase the perception of one of the beers characteristics. Guess I'll have to open the bottle I have and check it out.
