Not fully versed on co2 hook-ups just yet. I have a 15cu ft freezer I'm in the process of converting. Since it can hold 7 kegs I'm wondering realistically how many secondaries would be needed or "handy" :p . I see some guys just running distributors and some with up to 5 secondaries. Just wondering the likely hood of needing that many separate pressures.

Also saw someone mention "the good regulators can always be turned into dual, triple, quadrupal regulators in the future as your needs and budget grows."

Thanks :mug:

I have 4 secondary regulators, just because I got a good deal on them, and I knew I would grow into them. Currently I only use 3 of them. I use two for the kegged beer, and 1 to carbonate a keg of beer.

The only real need for a seperate regulator is if you have beers that run different pressures. In theory if your beers are all carbed to the same level, you could just use a distributor. I like to use 1 regulator for each beer, just because I can, and I'd like be able to experiment. I've worked for restaurants where we've run 1 regular for all of our beers on tap, and some where we've had 1 regulator for every beer.

In regards to adding regulators, the short answer is, they screw together. Check them out at micromatic:

I have a 6 tap keezer with 2 of those taps being nitro taps.

I have a primary and a secondary regulator for the CO2 and just a primary for my Nitro.

I use a manifold system to bank everything together. This allows me to break my system into 3, 2-keg banks. I also have the banks seperated by ball valves so I can use a single regulator to pressure 2, 4, or 6 kegs.

It's a pretty simple design. If you need pictures, let me know.

I would definitely like the ability to individually control the kegs pressure. My/SWMBO tastes vary so much we will be brewing up everything we can think of plus we might incorporate a soda keg it would be obviously beneficial.

I've been looking around at some secondary clusters, such as

With the price difference I'm guessing some build quality differences?
