I have a larger in my fermentation chamber. been there three weeks. I was expecting the beer to finish at 1.014 to 1.016. it only got to 1.020 (og 1.052 and yeast is wlp800) I contacted white labs trouble shooting and was advised to start diacetyl rest for three days at 65f. They stated that the yeast might get active again and that I might be able to get to that target fg of 1.014 to 1.016. well sure enough after 24 hours there is activity in the air lock and looks like the beer is coming alive again. wanted to know if others had this same experience. of hitting the target fg after diacetyl rest

You can use a 3 piece airlock during fermentation and put activated charcoal in it to neutralize the odors coming off of the fermenter, by-the-way.
