I've heard mixed reviews on their beers. How did the beer taste?

Didn't know they were brewed out of state. 'Local Option' isn't quite fitting, is it?

I picked up this one and Dampf Loc from the clearance rack at the bottle shop. It was the first I've seen of Local Option in KY. Both were so-so, BotK slightly better of the two. Biscuit and caramel malt backbone with a lot of citrus and herbal, almost tea-like hops. Neither were bad for the price, but I wouldn't really go out of my way to pick it up again.
 
Okay, here is a collaboration brew from Bend that went to benefit something this summer. The one brewery is sort of a new one in Bend, and the other is from California and a titan of the craft beer industry. Is that enough hints for ya?! :D

Dragons milk, no
Nationwide distribution, I don't think so, but will check.

EDIT.... Big NO on distribution.
