Hey all, my very Irish buddy is paying me to make him an Irish red for St. Paddy's day this year. I have never made one and have only drank a few but I would really like this to turn out well. I looked through lots and lots of recipes and couldn't just settle on one so I decided to try an create my own. If you all could just take a look and see if I'm going in the right direction and if it will actually be an Irish "red" I would appreciate it.

Batch Size - 10 gal
Fermentables
17 lb 2-row pale malt
1 lb Carapils
1 lb Crystal 40
6 oz Roasted Barley
6 oz Crystal 120
6oz Special Roast

Hops
2 oz EKG 60 min
1oz EKG 5 min

Mash @ 155 F for 60 min
Boil for 60 min

OG 1.050
FG 1.011
SRM 16L

Yeast - Notty

Sorry I am typing this on my phone so it's not in the format of a regular recipe but if you need any other details please ask. Thanks for the help all.

Thinking about brewing this up this weekend so if anyone looks and thinks their should be any adjustments please let me know.

Looks alright to me. I did an Irish red last year that came out great. I actually bought some carared which gave it a great red hue and a nice sweetness. I think it will be fine.
