I got my first batch of cider fermenting now in a 1 gallon jug. There is something that concerns me. Right before I stuck on the stopper and airlock to begin fermentation, I was rubbing down the inside of the filler neck with rubbing alcohol ( rated at 70%)to sterilize. A drop of the rubbing alcohol dripped off my finger into the cider. Anything to be concerned aabout?

Anytime you drop a poison in your brew it's a concern, however, one drop in a gallon probably will not hurt you nor should it flavor you cider. Rubbing Alcohol is not a good choice for sanitation of brewing equipment. Get a good no-rinse sanitizer like Star San and be safe and taste free.
