Would light be an issue at all for cider?

I'm not sure if it would have the same problems as beer. This is really my question.

I've read on here before that light is an issue for wine and cider, just for different reasons than it is for beer. What those reasons are, I don't know. I take the same precautions with my cider and apfelwein as I do with beer.

Maybe somebody else more knowledgable will set us all straight.

Light spoils the hops in beer. And since cider has no hops (unless you added your own special hint,) then I'm sure it'd be a great idea to bottle it in a clear bottle. Most ciders that you buy from the store are in clear bottles. Sure there are beer in clear bottles as well, but they use special hops that can withstand floursecent / UV light. I hope that this helps!:tank:
