I 've got a gal. of SS that has turned cloudy. Admittedly, it is small but...

check the PH. if its below 3 then its still good. if not add more StarSan till its below 3PH.

Great, but what if you don't have/know an easy method of checking pH..?

its very easy to check the PH. you LHBS will have PH test strips. just dunk one in and see what color it changes then compare that to the chart they give you.
if your at all worried about the effectiveness of the SS either add enough till it turns clear again or make a new batch.

When in doubt throw it out. It's cheaper and safer to make more than take a chance on an infection.

Exactly. Lets see I got the big bottle at ~$17 and I've been using it for years now, and it's about 1/8 gone...... So is that 0.50 worth of StarSan worth risking a bad batch of beer? If it's more than 0.50 I've got to wonder why you made such a large batch in the first place.
