Perhaps I have overlooked it in all my reading, but...

I bottled some wine, cleaned out the carboy, then put the cleaning solution back in the carboy made sure it was all contacted and drained it into a cup overnight. Once it was dry, I put a carboy cap on it.

Is it safe to use next time, or should I sterilize right before I need it again?

:ban: (I dunno, just looked like fun!)

Chances are it's okay if you covered it immediately. What most people will tell you, though, is that star san only works when it's wet. Once it dries, it stops working.

As easy as it is to pour some in, shake it around a bit and then drain, i'd say just go ahead and do it again to be safe. There really isn't a downside, whereas not doing it has a potentially bad downside.

Yeah, I kinda figured.

Its not a big deal, but I figured I would ask so I wasnt duplicating my efforts.
