I am back after almost a year

Well I am back after almost a year I have moved to a new, bigger home, where I will have some space to brew. I dont know what I want to brew yet for my first batch. I was thinking something along the lines of a Hefe or a Crystal Wietzen. I have all of my brewing items packed tightly into a box, and still have 5 or 6 glass carboys.

What does everyone recommend as a first brew????

Welcome back! I would go with a Hefeweizen between the two.

Isn't a Crystal Wietzen out of the question without a filter?

Pretty much. Really long cold conditioning will get you there, as well. If you make a Hefeweizen and let it sit in the fridge long enough you'll have a Kristalweizen.

I am pretty much an extract brewer. I will do a partial grain here and there. I will definately go with a hefe for a first brew in the new home. I just need a cool name now!!
