Just a thought here. Would it be benificial to add pure oxygen to the wort before pitching the yeast into the primary? I have an older oxygen generator from a medical supply house that I could attach a stone to and put it into the wort. If so how long before it becomes fully sturated that I could pull it out. It's adjustable up to 5 LPM.

Thanks

Absolutely. Yeast need oxygen and you can get more oxygen into the wort using pure O2 than you can get by other methods. I have the Williams Brewing wand setup, which doesn't have an O2 meter. I turn it on till I can just see the bubbles coming to the surface, then I run it for one minute.
