OK I'm making the NB Mustache Envy Belgian Stout It has an original gravity of 1.080 so tonight I'm making a starter using mr malty. I have never used mr malty before and Mr malty says that I need to use a 2 . something liter starter witch is more volume than I normally use. I was wondering when I pitch my starter should I first let it settle then decant some of the wort an pitch mainly the yeast cake or do I pitch the hole thing and adjust my water volumes to account for the extra liquid?
