Bottled my first batch of cider yesterday (yay!) and my Better Bottle carboy still smells faintly of cider. I used a jet to wash out all the visible yeast, then alternated with a light bleach and water combo (rinse) and sodium bicarbinate (rinse) and might have even used some no rinse cleaner in the middle of all that. Is it normal to still get some residual aroma?

Beats me, I never checked  I can't imagine that it would contribute any noticeable off flavors to future brews. I just let it sit with Oxyclean (well a generic peroxide cleanser anyhow).

Those better bottles are made of plastic aren't they? That's bound to absorb some of the organic molecules that might be floating around in your brew...

I prefer glass, nice and inert.
