Hello all,

I know there are many threads on this, but I have to gloat a bit..

I just ordered my first bulk hop package... EVER!! Up until now, all I could get here (on Vancouver Island, Canada) was odds and ends... some northern brewer here, a few cascades there... The only steady supply I have up here is Green Bullet hops from a local brewery, which is a dandy for bittering... not great for aroma/flavour (kinda piney??) Anyway, here is my order... please criticize or inspire me. I am a relatively new brewer, looking to maybe do a strong ale or a double IPA next. Probably all grain or PM...

> Item 01: 2 each HAMAP1 Amarillo Pellet Hops: 1 lb. $ 11.25
> Item 02: 1 each HCASP1 Cascade Pellet Hops 1 lb. $ 8.75
> Item 03: 1 each HFUGP1 Fuggle Pellet Hops (US) 1 lb. $ 9.75
> Item 04: 1 each HHALGP1 Hallertau Pellets (GR) 1 lb. $ 10.75
> Item 05: 1 each HSAAZUSP1 US SAAZ Pellet Hops: 1 lb. $ 9.75
> Item 06: 2 each HWILP1 Willamette Pellet Hops 1 lb. $ 6.75

I love these prices. Even including international shipping (which was about 40$), I am still under an average of $1 an ounce. I cannot even do better than that ordering online from a Canadian supplier!! It kind of chaps me, since you would think I should be able to find what I need SOMEWHERE within my own country. Oh well, all the power to Hopsdirect.

No criticizing here!

Looks like a good selection for a wide variety of beers.

Congrats!
