Sam Adams Triple Bock

I open one of these that I got on clearance.

It sucked bad, its flat and was like drinking one of those Goya Maltas.

I could taste some alcohol but it had some weird taste that reminded me of tar or asphalt.

The bottle says its got maple syrup, maybe but the maple was not fermented. Its like they primed it with maple gunk and the yeast was puttered out. I do think these are many years old.

Soy sauce beer! I have a bottle that will marinate a steak at some point.

I had some of one this summer. I tried to appreciate what they were attempting with the beer, but really couldn't. I couldn't quite get over the motor oil feel in the mouth. The flavor itself was really not that impressive. I think I just finished up with some Two Hearted Ale and I was pretty happy.
