I just kegged for the first time this morning. I'm planning to "set it and forget it" for the next two weeks. I set the psi at 12, and the temp has been steady at 37F. I checked on it twice today, and both times the psi had dropped to 10, and each time I cranked it bank up to 12.

Does anyone have any ideas what's going on? Shouldn't this hold at a constant 12 psi as long as I don't adjust it? I checked for leaks by spraying star san, and nothing was noted.

Thanks in advance!

Just checking: you're leaving the tank valve open, right?

Is the tank in the fridge? Sometimes if it's cooler the diaphragm in the regulator can be slower to respond, I think a lot of us have seen this but usually the pressure creeps up a bit over the first day or two. I'd say if it's still a problem after a few more days, you should worry but until then RDWHAHB!
