hey guys, I am new to the whole brewing process (about 8 batches in) and my wife wants a raspberry wheat. I bought a raspberry wheat extract kit from austin homebrew. It calls for adding rapsberry flavoring when moving to the keg. I wanted to know if any one has ever done this, but put fresh raspberrys while in the secondary? If so how did you sanitize the raspberrys? Thanks for any help you may be able to give me.

Wrong forum. But to answer your question, either freeze the berries or crush them to break the cell walls, and then add to a little water and heat to 150 F. Keep at that temperature for 15 to 20 minutes, cool and add to wort/beer. Don't let the temperature get too high or you will set the pectins .... but it is a wheat .... you want be able to tell.
