Is this can be use as a filter for the mash ?

Hi, I know that this thing is usually use as a hops filter after the boiling process. But do I can use it as a mash filter after the mash out process ? Does anyone try it ?

I would say yes.. looks like a stainless screen to me.

I use it for my igloo mash tun I batch sparge it works great

Yes, I think it is most appropriate for batch sparging though, not fly sparging due to channeling (which doesn't matter for batch)

I use one in my mash tun as well, works great!

I wouldn't depend on it to strain hop pellets in your kettle, though, as it will likely clog. Use for whole cone hops.

Yeah I have heard they are not good with kettles which is what I think they were meant for.
