Boiled up some Hefeweizen on Saturday afternoon and had decent fermentation on Sunday afternoon. Went to bed last night around midnight and she was bubbling away. Woke up this morning and the top of the airlock was on the floor and I had a mess on my primary. YUCK!!!
The airlock was empty and she was bubbling foam "krausen" out. Was only like this for 8 hours max. I cleaned the airlock and filled it back up. Seems to be normal again, so I will keep my eye on it today.
I use a 6.5 Ale Pail for a primary. That tells me the yeast were very very hungry!! My OG was 1.050. More sugar means more action, i guess.....
Hope my brew it going to be ok. Any thoughts??
Guess I need to work on my spelling..... Notice the title.... Still early and didn't have my coffee yet!!! You get the idea though
