Has anyone added flaked barley to a pale ale to increase head retention? I know it is used in stouts and other dark beers, but I have never seen a recipe with it in lighter beers.

I've used it plenty of times in pale ales (up to about 5% of the grist). It works great for head retention, and I like the flavor. I've also never had a problem with haze, but I don't chill my beers below 55 F.
