I've got a Pilsner with White Labs Ale Yeast V in the primary right now ( I don't think I have lager yeast temperatures at my disposal). It should be getting close to secondary time soon and I'm wondering what a good secondary temperature would be. My basement is at 50F and I have a fridge that goes down to 45F. Is it always the case that colder and longer is better? If I secondary at a low temperature do I have to keep the beer that temperature until it's served? What do you all think?

I think you're fine at either temp. But I haven't done a Pilsner yet. I'd go with the one that has a more constant temperature. Unless you get a special thermostat for your fridge, it will probably be +/- 5 degrees during its cycling.
