Hey everyone,

Looking for feedback on this malt setup for a Marzen -

5# Pilsner Malt
2# Vienna Malt
1# Aromatic Malt

I know it's basic, but would this be near style for a Marzen? It would be fermented with Vienna Lager yeast.

It's color will be a touch light I think. SRM is usually about 20 on the aromatic malt? Just did a Vienna lager with a little Carafa III for color (2oz)

The base was mostly Vienna with some Munich and a little pilsner. A similar style in terms of coloration
 
Guess it depends on if you're cloning a beer. My Paulaner is a bit lighter than my HP marzen, I think the taste would be about the same. I would increase the grain bill, assuming a 5 gl batch, my HP in the fridge is 5.9%.
