Well I got my first brew going, I've got some pickled eggs left, and football season looks like it's gonna happen. Life is good. I do need to set another batch of eggs going for the upcomming season though. Anyone else pickle their own wonderful snacks?

I tried the pickled eggs. Of course, I went the lazy route and just plunked some HB eggs into an existing brine from a some Vlassic pickles.

Not a fan of them if that is truely how they are to taste.

Yeah you can use brine like that but you should add to it. Little extra vinegar and some more pickling spices. Maybe some hot sauce or habeneros. Also, how long did you leave them? Waiting being the hardest part. For eggs that take on more flavor and are a good snack I'll do HB quail eggs. But peeling 200 of those little buggers is a days work and not near as fun as brewing.
