So when I read peoples recipes how do I tell what the final alcohol % will be?

I want to brew Deathbrewer's SMaSH and have looked at several other SMaSHes as well but none of them have the final Alcohol %

OG - FG x 131 = Final ABV%

OR... invest in brewing software like Beersmith (what I use), Promash, or Beertools Pro.
 
Initial gravity (example 1.060) minus final gravity (example 1.010) x 1000 x 0.13

60-10 = 50

50x0.13 = 6.5% alcohol by volume.

Not accurate, but very close.
