Hey All

I have brew a few batched, the beer tastes great. However I seemed to have head aches after drinking home brew, no matter how much I drink. I have never had this problem with store bought beers (unless I had too many). I was just wondering if anyone has had the same experience.
Thanks

Jason

Usually it's just the opposite. Drinking home brew with live yeast helps alleviate a hangover due to the b vitamins. I wonder if you have a slight allergy to the yeast?

Headaches are often the result of fusel alcohols, which are primarily produced when your fermentation temperatures are too high. There shouldn't be any "hot alcohol'. Keep yourself hydrated, too.

Most likely fusel alcohols and/or acetylaldehyde. For future batches, try fermenting at a lower temperature and let the beer bulk age a little longer, which should reduce fusel formation and clear any acetylaldehyde right up.

i got headaches from the first batch i made, probably for the above reasons. haven't had any problems since, so don't let it dissuade you from continuing to brew.
