I wondered if using gelatin after dry hopping would kill the aroma? My dry-hopped beer has been disappointingly cloudy. I've used whole leaf for dry hopping but I intended to use pellets this time.

Gelatin works well for hoppy beers. Go ahead and use it. You need to crash cool the beer before adding it.

I haven't had trouble using gelatin at ale temps in the past, I've added it to several beers at 65* and had good success. Don't have the ability to cold crash right now anyway.

I've always crash cooled first then added gelatin and get very clear and hoppy IPAs after dryhopping. Never tried at room temp. If using flower hops, the cold crashing sinks the flowers and makes it easier to rack. Pellets usually sink without crashing.
